How do I export data to a CSV File in T4?
Exporting to a CSV file is useful when trying to have a record of your Nominations, Schedules, and Tickets on hand and make this information shareable. This option is available for you in your Nomination, Schedule, and Ticket Search pages.
In the upper right corner of the Search Results Grid, there are (7) actions that can be executed.
- Select Columns – Click to Add/Remove columns and drag/drop to move columns.
- Expand Column Width – Click to expand the width of your columns.
- Print – Print to any available printer including saving as a PDF.
- Export to CSV– Export as a CSV file. The results are limited to 100 and will include the data and headers.
- Sort Results by Multiple Columns – If you are returning a lot of data, you can sort by multiple columns.
- Save Search Criteria – If you search the same information on a regular basis you can save the search criteria so that it is easily accessible. Click the “Save” button and name the search.
*The search will be saved in the drawer and can be accessed from any screen.
- Set Push Options – To set a push relating to this search, click the “Push Options” button and add the push as needed.
The option that we are focusing on in this article is the Export to CSV option. You can export from the Nomination, Schedules, and Tickets page. You can either export all results, Export Selected Search Results, or your Search Results can be copied to a clipboard.
Once the results have been exported, a CSV file will begin to download, and it will appear in the bottom left corner of the browser or in the downloads section of your browser. Please keep in mind that the way that you have the columns set up in the search screen will depend on how your CSV file looks when you export out. What if the information that I am looking to Export is not in T4?
If the information that you are looking for (Tickets) is not available in T4, please reach out to the Helpdesk and we would be more than happy to get this information for you at a cost. Below is more information regarding this service:
Historical Tickets (> 11 months old)
Transport4 maintains an unofficial record of tickets for up to 6 years. These tickets can be useful in proving product movements to tax authorities, conducting, or responding to audits, and performing various types of operational analyses. These tickets are not available via www.transport4.com and must be extracted from historical databases by Transport4. The output can be in a comma-delimited file (.csv) or in the long-form format (one ticket per page).
Comma-delimited file - $250 to cover the initial search and the first 100 tickets. After the first 100 tickets, additional tickets are $0.90 each.
Long-form format - $300 to cover the initial search and the first 100 tickets. After the first 100 tickets, additional tickets are $1.25 each.
