Adding a Nomination (Outbound Pipeline)
In this video, we will learn how to enter an Outbound Pipeline Nomination.
A Pipeline Nomination (for Terminals) is used to request a movement into/out of a Pipeline going into or out of Tank(s) at a Terminal.
An Outbound Pipeline Nomination is a Nomination that is coming from the Terminal and sent out to the Pipeline.
Click Add Nomination
Select the Terminal Operators (Carrier) for which you wish to submit a Nomination.
Select the SCD (Special Carrier Designation)
The SCD is the type of Nomination/Order you are submitting to the terminal. Options includes Inbound moves (into the Terminal) and Outbound moves (leaving the Terminal) plus the type of move (Truck/Rail, Pipeline, Etc.)
*For Example, OPL is a Nomination coming from the Terminal and sent out to the pipeline.
Select the Shipper
Enter the Product with the Product code or by using the type ahead feature.
*Product Codes will differ by Carrier.
Cycle defaults to the current month.
Sequence and Batch Year are defaulted.
Select the date you are requesting for the move to take place or start.
Please note, all fields with a (*) are required and must be filled out in order to submit the Nomination.
Volume Totals and Unit of Measures
Carriers preferred Unit of Measure will be the defaulted option, but more are available in the Units drop-down.
Select the Inspector from the drop-down if applicable.
Select the Agent from the drop-down if applicable.
Enter the Batch Remarks
*This is the message the Shipper wants to relay to the Carrier.
Enter Inspector Remarks if applicable.
Select for a more condensed look at your Nomination.
Click to link Connecting Carrier Schedules to current Nomination.
*Once linked, Scheduled Volumes and Date Criteria will update.
Enter the corresponding cycle to Search for the Schedule that you want to link to your Nomination.
*Cycle is mandatory to populate search results.
Select the Schedule and click on Improt Scheduled Events.
Ancillary Events can be added to Nominations by:
- Adding a new event.
- Selecting the down arrow to the right of the even and Selecting Ancillary action.
*The can be added to any nomination or be a standalone Nomination. Ancillary Events include (Heating, Cooling, etc.)
Enter the Quantity
*Please note, you are entering Barrels
Select a Terminal
*All Terminals will default after you select one
Select a Container/Tank
*The destination for this movement will be a pipeline.
This is the Batch Code that was selected from the Connecting Carriers Schedules.
*Once linked, the Connecting Carrier Status for the destination will be Scheduled.
Add Attachments to the Nomination that will be received by the Carrier and Inspector (if identified).
This is confirmation that your Nomination was submitted Successfully.
Print or Email your Nomination
*Email button sends an email to the account owner’s email address.
Copy or Change your Nomination.
Please note, by clicking on Change Nomination you can also delete your Nomination.
