Adding a Nomination (Terminal)
In this video, we will learn how to enter an Inbound Truck Terminal Nomination.
An Inbound Truck Nomination is a Nomination that is coming from a Truck to a Terminal.
A Truck Nomination (for Terminals) is used to request a movement into/out of a truck going into or out of tank(s) at a Terminal.
Click Add Nomination.
Select the Terminal Operator (Carrier) for which you wish to submit a Nomination.
Select the SCD (Special Carrier Designation)
The SCD is the type of nomination/order you are submitting to the Terminal. Options include Inbound moves (into the Terminal) and Outbound moves (leaving the Terminal) plus the type of move (leaving the Terminal) plus the type of move (Truck/Rail, Pipeline, etc.)
*For Example, ITR is a Truck coming into a Terminal.
Select the Shipper
Enter the Product with the Product Code or by using our type-ahead feature.
*Product Codes will differ by Carrier.
Cycle defaults to current month.
Sequence and Batch Year are Defaulted.
Select the date you are requesting the move take place or start.
Please note, all fields with a (*) are required and must be filled out in order to submit the Nomination.
Volume Totals and Unit of Measures.
Carriers preferred Unit of Measure will be the default option, but more are available in the Units drop-down.
Enter the Number of Trucks.
*Before entering the number of Trucks you will need to select the Truck Carrier. Otherwise, the Truck carrier will default to KME Approved.
*The Number of Trucks will reflect the number of Nominated events below.
Select the Inspector from the drop-down if applicable.
Select the Agent from the drop-down if applicable.
Enter the Batch Remarks.
*This is the message the Shipper wants to relay to the Carrier.
Ancillary Events can be added to Nominations by:
- Adding a new event
- Selecting the down arrow to the right of the event and selecting the Ancillary action.
*They can be added to any Nomination or be a standalone nomination. Ancillary Events include (Heating, Cooling, etc.)
Please note, the quantity defaults from the number of trucsk entered above.
Select a Terminal
*All of the Terminals willd efault after you select one.
Select Container/Tank.
*Because this is an Inbound Truck, the source containers will auto populate with Truck.
*You will need to add the Destination Tank.
Enter the Release Number.
The rest of the rows will auto-populate.
The default option for Truck Carrier is KME Approved.
*If another Truck Carrier needs to be specified, select it here before entering the number of trucks above.
Add Attachments to the Nomination that will be received by the Carrier and Inspector (if identified).
This is confirmation that your Nomination was submitted Successfully.
Print or Email your Nomination
*Email button sends an email to the account owner’s email address.
Copy or Change your Nomination
Please note, by clicking on Change Nomination you can also delete your Nomination.
