Nomination Entry
Nominations can be edited, copied, or created from scratch.
To enter a new Nomination, click “Add Nom” under the Nomination tab or click “Add Nomination” from the batch search page.
Create a New Nomination
- Carrier: Select the carrier you for which you wish to submit a Nomination. *It is important that you select the carrier first because if it is changed at any time, all information will be lost.*
- Shipper:Select the desired shipper code from the drop-down list.
- Product: Enter the Product code or description in the “Product” field. The auto-populate feature will only display product that is valid for the selected carrier.
- Cycle: Enter the “Cycle” information.
- Sequence: Choose the Sequence using the options in the drop-down menu. Option "Next" means the next available sequence.
- Batch Year: Select the Batch Year in which you want this movement to take place.
- Event Type: Use the drop down to select the event type. (Event types will differ by carrier)
- Location: Enter the location associated with the event. The auto-populate feature will only display valid locations for the Carrier/SCD/Event Type combination.
- Sup/Con: Enter the Supplier/Consignee for the event. If left blank, the S/C will default to the shipper.
- Tankage: Enter the Tankage. The auto-populate feature will only display Tankage that is valid for the associated location.
- Grantees: Third Party Grants can be made directly from the Nomination using the “Grantees” field. Enter the desired party code separated by commas if more than one is to be added. The event will then be automatically granted.
- Link Shipper/Link Product/Link Cycle/Link Sequence: Link sections are specific to different carriers: ie. Bengal and Colonial and certain PTO event types such as (IPTT).
- Save Nomination: This button saves the newly created Nomination.
*Several carriers include an SCD when adding a Nomination. An SCD (Special Carrier Designation) means different things to different carriers. T4 provides a list of SCD codes for each carrier, and it is your responsibility to review the carrier documentation and be familiar with what their codes mean.
