Bulletins
In this video we will learn how to view Bulletins, the functionality of the Bulletins Page, and how to set up a Bulletin Push.
A Bulletin is published by either Transport4, a Terminal, or a Carrier. This feature is most commonly used to communicate issues that impact a large number of users such as Allocations, Line Outages, Product Lifting Dates, etc.
The best way to view a Bulletin is in your Inbox. We highly recommend setting up a bulletin Push, feel free to skip to timestamp 03:09 to learn how.
Here is an example of one type of Bulletin you will see.
*Carriers will have different formats and ways to send Bulletins
The following icons are not exclusive to Bulletins. They are available on every T4 page.
To Search for Bulletins, you can Search by Keyword or Carrier Code.
Enter the criteria and click Search Bulletins.
You can Sort and Filter your Bulletins.
*The most common sort option is Favorites, Read, and Date
You can set the default sort order of Bulletins on the list by clicking on the drop-down
Filtering allows you to remove Carriers whose Bulletins you do not need to see.
*Simply click on the Box to see the Bulletins for only that Carrier.
If you have read your Bulletin, you can either click on the checkbox next to the message and mark as read or it will be marked as read automatically when you read the next Bulletin.
Similarly, if there is a Bulletin that has been Read and you want to mark it as Unread, Click on the Checkbox next to the Bulletin and Click on the Envelope to mark it as Unread.
If there is a Bulletin that you will need to refer to often, such as a Carrier Calendar, you can mark it as a Favorite.
*Simply click the checkbox next to the bulletin and click on the Star to Mark as Favorite.
To print a Bulletin, click the Print icon.
If you want to Email the Bulletin, click the Email hyperlink.
*Please note, the email will be sent to the account owners email address.
If you scroll down, you will see all of your Read Bulletins.
*Please note, Bulletins sent as an automatic push to your inbox, configured in Push Options, will also be marked as Read.
Publisher will be the Carrier Terminal, or Transport4.
Carrier is the audience that will receive the Bulletin.
This is the number that is randomly assigned to the Bulletin by the author.
Type describes the role of the Party that created the Bulletin.
This is the date the Bulletin was Published or Updated.
To receive your Bulletins and because Bulletins expire, we highly recommend setting up a Bulletin Push. This way you will always have the Bulletin in your email Inbox.
*You can set up a the Push by going to the cogwheel and clicking on the Auto Reports/Push Options.
Click to add a Bulletin Push.
By default, All Topics, Publishers and SCD’s are selected. To refine the filter criteria, pick a Carrier and choose the filters that apply.
Select the Carrier you would like to receive the Bulletins from.
Further refine the filter criteria by selecting the Carrier Topic, Publishers, and SCD.
Add a Push Name to provide a title to the push.
Enable/Disable the Push.
Add the email recipients or distribution list.
Please note, that email addresses in the drop-down are associated with your account.
Click to add a new email recipient.
Activate/Deactivate your email recipients or delete their email address.
Click anywhere on the bar to View/Edit the Bulletin.
